Teacher Profile
My intention as a teacher is to provide a safe, enjoyable environment - using an intuitive approach whereby the teaching can be adapted to suit the person/group. I always like to be as creative as possible within the teaching to encourage, stimulate and deepen the practice and self enquiry. As such the rhythm of each class can vary enormously - sometimes with flowing sequences, other times with long held postures and always with self-reflecting meditations and relaxations. Sometimes partner work too is practiced to help to give, receive, learn from and appreciate the experience with others.
I am far more interested in the quality of awareness brought to each person's self- journey rather than the attainment of advanced physical postures. While any session may contain some more "challenging" postures, everyone is always given alternative options so that they can practice safely and wisely.
You do not need to be able to do headstands, shoulderstands, handstands or advanced back bends to come along and participate!
Yoga is for everyone and anyone and is not limited to any particular body type, age or set of beliefs.
However we are all very different with differing needs. This always needs to be respected in any yoga practise and as such everyone, in a mixed group, is asked to always listen to and pay attention to their own bodies and inner perceptions while attending a session. Therefore you work within your own ability, adapting postures in relation to any physical injury or condition that you have, and come out of postures when you have reached your own limits. This is an integral part of the practice, one in which everyone is always encouraged to move in the direction of self reliance and self responsibility.
Whether you are a beginner or experienced, the courses are designed to meet you where you are. Being away from your normal routine, doing yoga, meditation and being in nature, may help to give a fresh perspective on where you are and want to go in your life. You may prefer to take the week more as a retreat, with some silence and reflection during the free time or upon waking and before sleeping. Or you may just prefer to relax and be on holiday!
You are, in truth, the only person who can perceive what is happening inside you!
Awareness to this truth is to then consciously walk the path of freedom through our lives
(see profile page for more info).

Molino del Rey was originally restored from an old water mill, nestled in the heart of the mountain range Sierra de las nieves. Its main attraction is that it is surrounded by moorish water channels, creating refreshing little waterfalls and streams throughout the centre. The sound is blissfully serene!

The yoga studio must be one of the most attractive in Europe - light, airy and very spacious, it is always kept refreshingly cool by adjoining caves.
